Provide plenty of water during the first few days When the tree is brought into a warm environment, it “thinks” it’s spring and starts replenishing its water reserves. In the first few days, the tree can drink up to several liters of water per day.

Avoid placing the tree in a very warm location The cooler the tree is kept, the better it will thrive. Therefore, avoid placing the tree near radiators, stoves, or open fireplaces.
Mist the tree with a spray bottle Keep the tree moist by spraying it with water when you water it.
Be mindful of other plants in your home When you bring in a classic Christmas tree (not applicable to Nordmann firs), it emits ethylene gas. Potted plants and cut flowers can be very sensitive to this gas, which can cause them to wilt suddenly. Therefore, avoid placing the tree directly next to other plants.
