The lifespan of a Christmas tree is similar to that of a cut flower, as both lack roots to absorb water and nutrients. A bouquet of cut flowers is expected to last 4 days or more, which is also our guideline for the durability of our trees.
It is common for trees to shed some needles when brought indoors and the netting is removed. If needles fall from the lower branches, this is normal and does not mean the tree is shedding excessively. Even in the forest, trees lose some needles as they grow.
However, if the tree loses needles from the upper branches, it is not in good condition. To check, place a branch between your fingers and gently pull along the branch. If the needles fall off, the tree is shedding excessively and is not healthy.
If this happens, please contact us immediately, and we will come and replace your tree.
